Out of the Dust By Karen Hesse
January 25, 2007
Summary: In a series of poems, fifteen year old Billie Jo relates the hardships of living on her family’s wheat farm in Oklahoma during the dust bowl years of the Depression.
Review By Azza: I really enjoyed reading this book. We read this book last year in English and talked about all the features of the great Depression at that time. It is written in an interesting form of poetry. It will keep you want to read it over and over again. 9/10
